Our Story

Progressions began in the heart of its Executive Director, Michael Daniels, who, like so many of the youth whose lives are equipped and empowered by Progressions, developed character, resiliency and confidence from leaders in his school and community. In _____ Fred Keller, Chairman of Cascade Engineering launched the nationally recognized Welfare to Work Program in Grand Rapids Michigan and invited Michael to serve in a leadership role.  Combining his life experiences with leading research in the field of positive psychology, emotional intelligence and resiliency, Michael developed a Success Center Pathway based on 7 key Principles and launched the first Success Center in Grand Rapids, MI in 2000. Progressions has since brought it Success Centers and “I Have, I Can and I Will” messaging to thousands of students who have since gone on to pursue their dreams and achieve their best. Along the way, Progressions’ students and programs have been visited and supported by community leaders including Richard Devos and Neurosurgeon, author and presidential candidate, Dr. Ben Carson.
